Personal History:

Aoko comes from world where Tokyo Japan is pretty much the murder capitol of the world, though she herself is very rarely around death and murder. She’s the best friend, childhood friend and love interest of her series protagonist, Kuroba Kaito or, also Kaitou Kid. (please note that Aoko comes from the Series Magic Kaito which takes place in the same universe as the series Detective Conan) Her father is the inspector in charge of Kid’s case as such this leaves Kaito in a very awkward position because Aoko and her father are very much like family to him.

Aoko can be seen as Kaito’s foil, she keeps him in line and she’s one of the only people he’ll actually listen to. He might not act like he’s listening but that’s because they’re both very stubborn children. They bring out the very best and occasionally the very worst in each other with their relentless teasing. Despite the fact they fight pretty much constantly, they have a very, very close relationship. However, she is unaware that he is actually the infamous thief her father has been chasing for the better part of his career.

The version of Japan that Aoko comes from has four genius teenage detectives and a thief/Magician that has a very impressive fanbase (that thief being the one and only Kaitou Kid) The detectives are Shinichi Kudou (whom she has never met), Heiji Hattori (whom she has never met), Saguru Hakuba (whom is a personal friend of hers, and occasionally attends the same school) and Masumi Sera (who she has also never met)

Personality:

Aoko Nakamori is, for the most part, a perfectly normal teenage girl attending Ekoda High school with her best friend Kaito Kuroba and their less than normal classmates. She's a kind-hearted girl who would do anything for her friends and generally fun and easy to be around as she has no problem making friends, and she'll try and make friends with just about anybody. This includes washed up drunks on beat up boats. Perhaps it's a problem that Aoko is so willing to trust the first person to shake her hand, but she obviously missed the lesson about don't talk to strangers and seems to hold no kind of sense of danger which has gotten her into trouble on a few occasions.

She's a girl that doesn't take anything from anyone and is quick to tell someone off when they've done something wrong. She's very outspoken and ready and willing to stand up for or to someone at all times. It doesn't matter if it's a friend or a perfect stranger-if they're in the wrong she will let them know about it. This of course, can be contributed to the fact her father is a police officer. Because of who her father is, Aoko feels obligated to do what she can for all those around her and strongly believes in the justice system. The idea that some cops aren't in it because they're good people is new and foreign concept to her.

Aoko can best be described as a child as she is impulsive and doesn't think many actions through, including telling someone off that is clearly bigger and stronger than her. She doesn't think about what she's saying very much and often times blurts out what’s on her mind, even if that's an insult. Aoko is also a very stubborn, and strong willed girl with a hint of curiosity. She's one of those types of people that are always right, even when they're wrong, they're right.

She has no real knowledge of what goes on in the outside world because she's been sheltered by Daddy's white-collar cases and Kaitou Kid's resolve to never steal a life. Not to mention her best friend seems bound and determined to preserve her innocent outlook on the world. She doesn't think for a moment that people may be out to hurt her or others. She doesn't think about the possibility of a trap as evidenced when she failed to find it suspicious that she won a contest she didn't even enter. She doesn't think of the possibility someone wouldn't have good intentions because anytime she's ever come across something similar she was unaware of persons true intentions as she slept through the entire encounter.

She's like her father in many ways as far as personality is concerned, She's determined to see people do good and wants to see Kid behind bars, the one chapter aside. Like her father, she's a good person but highly temperamental, especially when it comes to her best friend Kaito. He can bring out the best and worst of the girl, knowing which buttons to push to get what reaction. She abhors crime and lawbreaking and makes this quite clear as she's never shy to jump on a soapbox and lecture anyone who will listen about how she hates Kaitou Kid and stealing is wrong and lying leads to stealing. More than she hates Kaitou Kid she hates it when people make fun of others that are trying their best. Wh-which is something Kaitou Kid is guilty of.
